Job description
- Lead and grow a team responsible for platform engineering and developer productivity.
- Improve build, deployment, and release processes across multiple engineering teams.
- Develop internal platforms that enable faster and more reliable software delivery.
- Drive adoption of engineering best practices across CI/CD, observability, testing, and infrastructure automation.
- Partner with application engineering teams to identify bottlenecks and streamline workflows.
- Evaluate modern AI-powered development tools and automation opportunities.
- Influence technical strategy and engineering standards across the organization.
Requirements
This role is ideal for an experienced engineering leader who started their career as a hands-on backend engineer and enjoys solving large-scale platform challenges, developing engineering talent, and improving the software development lifecycle across an organization. Required Skills & Experience
- 10+ years of software engineering experience.
- 2+ years of engineering leadership experience.
- Strong background in backend systems and distributed applications.
- Experience working within cloud-native environments.
- Experience with Kubernetes and container orchestration platforms.
- Strong understanding of CI/CD pipelines and automated software delivery.
- Experience with Infrastructure-as-Code tools and practices.
- Proven ability to lead cross-functional technical initiatives.
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills.
Desired Skills & Experience
- Experience leading platform engineering, developer productivity, or internal tooling teams.
- Experience building self-service developer platforms.
- Familiarity with software delivery metrics and engineering efficiency programs.
- Understanding of observability, monitoring, and reliability engineering concepts.
- Experience leveraging AI or automation to improve engineering workflows.
