Job description
Homespun Digital is a marketing and technology agency in Central Florida. We operate an all-Apple environment on a modern, fully managed stack, and we manage Apple fleets on behalf of our clients as well. We are seeking an IT Support Specialist to support both environments.
Our stack evolves, and the tools we use today may not be the tools we use in a few years. Because of that, we weigh problem-solving ability and adaptability alongside platform-specific experience. If you have a strong technical foundation and pick up new systems well, we would like to hear from you even if a few items below fall outside your background.
This is a collaborative team that values documentation, clean systems, and doing things properly the first time. The role offers direct access to leadership, room to shape how things run, and support available when something falls outside your experience.
The position begins at 20 hours per week with a defined path to expand for the right candidate. Schedule is set collaboratively and remains consistent once established.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
Our systems are established, standardized, and documented. You will step into a defined environment with existing configurations, deployment processes, and internal guides in place, and your work will focus on operating and refining it.
Administer our Apple environment, internally and for clients. Manage the full device lifecycle across macOS, iOS, and iPadOS through Apple Business Manager and our MDM, including enrollment, configuration, application deployment, and compliance. Responsibilities extend to identity and security administration (SSO, MFA, conditional access, endpoint protection, backup, and access control) as well as employee onboarding and offboarding.
Maintain the platforms and integrations our business depends on. Administer the systems used by our team and our clients, including CRM, automation, AI, web development, and project management platforms. Configure and maintain the integrations connecting these systems and our databases, and resolve issues affecting data flow between them.
Provide technical support and infrastructure services. Serve as the technical resource for staff inquiries and as the escalation point for client issues that exceed the account team’s scope. Perform on-site infrastructure work as required, including hardware installation, network equipment deployment, and workstation configuration at client locations., * Tell us about a technical problem you solved in a system that was new to you. How did you approach it?
- A user reports that their email has stopped working and nothing has changed on their end. How would you begin troubleshooting?
- What IT certifications do you currently hold?
- Which MDM platforms, if any, have you administered?
- How much experience do you have supporting Windows environments?
Requirements
- A strong technical foundation and the ability to pick up unfamiliar systems
- A systematic approach to troubleshooting and root cause analysis
- Comfort working within administrative consoles and vendor documentation
- Ability to explain technical issues clearly to non-technical colleagues and clients
- Networking fundamentals and willingness to handle physical infrastructure work
- Reliable availability on a consistent schedule
PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
Experience with Apple MDM, Apple Business Manager, UniFi networking, CRM platforms, or API integrations. Also valued: CompTIA A+ or Network+, scripting, database and AI platform integration experience, Microsoft 365 and Entra ID administration, MSP or agency experience. Training is available for the right candidate., Able to lift and carry up to 50 lbs, work in confined spaces, kneel, bend, and work at height on a ladder., * How many years of experience do you have managing Apple devices in a business setting
