Vice President, Chief Information Security Officer

Experteer Overview As VP/CISO, you will lead Eversource Energy’s cybersecurity strategy and resilience across business, IT, OT, data, and AI initiatives. You will partner with executive leadership to protect reliability, customer trust, and regulatory compliance while enabling secure innovation. You’ll drive enterprise risk management, security governance, and incident response at scale. This role shapes security culture and sets strategic priorities for a complex, regulated utility. You thrive on translating risk into actionable plans and speak confidently with the Board. Compensation / Benefits * Lead and develop a high-performing cybersecurity organization with strategic workforce planning * Develop and execute an enterprise cybersecurity strategy aligned with business goals and risk appetite * Advise executive leadership and the Board on cyber strategy, risk, and investments * Lead enterprise cyber risk management, including identification, assessment, and governance * Establish and maintain comprehensive cybersecurity governance across IT, OT/ICS, cloud, data, and third parties * Direct cyber resilience program including incident response, disaster recovery, and crisis management * Ensure protection of critical OT environments and compliance with NERC CIP * Coordinate security and compliance as a business issue and manage security program across the company * Foster relationships with business partners and regulators to align security solutions with needs * Lead governance for AI adoption including AI security and model risk Tasks * Bachelor in Cyber Security or related field * Minimum 15 years in Information Security * CISSP and/or CISM certifications * US Security Clearance or ability to obtain one * Strong leadership and change management skills * Ability to influence without direct authority * Hands-on leadership style and deep technical background Key requirements * competitive total rewards program * incentive eligibility * salary commensurate with experience
