Security Architect

Experteer Overview In this role you design, build, and validate security systems within a hybrid IT environment to protect client assets. You align security architecture with business aims and policy standards while driving the adoption of effective security measures. You will lead incident response activities, perform risk assessments, and collaborate with IT and business teams to measure and prove security effectiveness. Compensation / Benefits * Design, build, test, and implement security architectures for IT projects in a hybrid environment * Ensure architectures meet confidentiality, integrity, and availability principles aligned with business goals * Develop and maintain security policies, standards, and guidelines * Research, design, and advocate new security technologies and products from people, process, and technology perspectives * Operationalize security products and verify the security program through KPIs * Identify integration issues and create solutions * Ensure compliance with changing laws and regulations * Participate in incident response and forensic investigations * Collaborate with business, IT, and information security teams to design, implement, manage, and report on security controls * Stay current with security systems, standards, authentication protocols, and products * Conduct system security and vulnerability analyses and risk assessments * Additional duties as assigned Tasks * Proven experience as Security Architect, Security Analyst, or similar role * Knowledge and implementations of security frameworks (MITRE ATT&CK, NIST, CIS, etc.) * Understanding of security principles: confidentiality, integrity, availability, least privilege, defense in depth, separation of duties, zero trust * Experience with cloud platforms, risk assessment tools, threat modeling, and data encryption * Knowledge of disaster recovery, computer forensic tools, technologies, and methods * Excellent problem-solving skills and ability to work under pressure * Professional certification preferred: CISSP or CISM * BS degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or relevant field, or equivalent experience Key requirements * health, dental and vision care * 401k * wellness initiatives * life insurance * paid time off
