Data Networks has an exciting opportunity for a Technology Alignment Manager (TAM) to join our Managed IT Services team in Maryland. Reporting to the Director of Managed Services Delivery, the Technology Alignment Manager (TAM) is primarily responsible for conducting consistent monthly reporting, benchmarking, analysis, and client meetings for Data Networks’ Managed IT Services clients. The TAM will review standard and specialized metrics for each Managed IT client, as determined by SLAs and specific client requirements or requests and will work closely with the Strategic IT Planning Consultant to review findings and recommendations for the client’s broader strategic planning., * Work closely with onboarding Managed IT Services clients to understand their needs and objectives.
- Perform standard and specialized reporting and benchmarking utilizing relevant software tools (including support ticketing management system).
- Perform critical analysis on reporting to identify issues, trends, and/or risks and engage client in regular on-site monthly discussions to proactively implement action plans to address findings, including resolution to common issues, systems and equipment performance reporting, and any service delivery concerns or objectives.
- Work closely with and provide detailed documentation of meetings, bringing forward any potential projects, objectives, recommendations, issues, or other needs to the attention of the Strategic IT Planning Consultant in preparation for client’s quarterly strategic IT planning session. Route any other client needs through the appropriate channels within the organization; resolve support tickets as needed through support ticketing system.
- Technical documentation, including contributions to Standards Library and technical knowledge base through documenting standards, processes, and procedures to assist in institutionalizing knowledge throughout company.
- Assist management with technical development career plans for Managed Service Resources.
- Assist management with evaluation of delivery tools and future offerings.
- Provide direction to engineers and resources performing monthly client maintenance activities.
- Maintain up-to-date certifications in appropriate technologies.
- Participate in industry forums, tradeshows, and seminars as appropriate; Read, analyze, and interpret general business periodicals, professional journals, and technical procedures to stay informed on latest trends in industry.
Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or related field, or equivalent related experience.
- 5+ years in progressive hands-on network engineering or systems administrator experience, including experience in client-facing role
- 5-7 years expert working knowledge of Microsoft 365 and Azure.
- Strong client relations experience, demonstrating ability to establish trusted consultative client relationships.
- Excellent organizational, verbal, and written communication skills necessary to develop a good rapport with clients and internal stakeholders.
- Demonstrated knowledge of products and professional services in the areas of client computing, data center, networking, cyber security, cloud services, and managed IT services.
- Good driving record coupled with the ability to travel to client sites regularly., * Strong business acumen
- Experience with Managed IT Services or MSP providers, and/or previous Technology Alignment experience
- Industry certifications in Microsoft 365 or Azure.
