Job description
- Design, develop, and maintain high-quality Flight Management System (FMS) software.
- Develop core software architecture and applications for next-generation avionics platforms.
- Integrate Flight Management software into new aerospace products.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering teams to define software requirements and technical specifications.
- Develop software solutions that meet performance, scalability, security, and certification requirements.
- Participate in software architecture, design reviews, and code reviews.
- Perform software testing, debugging, integration, and validation using laboratory test benches.
- Support functional software releases and certification activities.
- Stay current with emerging software technologies, avionics standards, and industry best practices.

Work Environment:
This position operates in a collaborative engineering environment supporting advanced aerospace software development. Team members work closely with systems engineers, software developers, and certification teams throughout the software development lifecycle. The role follows a hybrid schedule, requiring a minimum of three days per week onsite with flexibility based on project needs.
Requirements
The ideal candidate will have extensive experience developing Flight Management System (FMS) software, strong C++ programming expertise, and a passion for designing high-performance, safety-critical software. Working alongside talented software and systems engineers, you’ll play a key role in delivering innovative avionics solutions for next-generation aircraft., * Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, or another STEM-related discipline.
- Minimum 8 years of Flight Management System (FMS) software development experience.
- Strong C++ programming and object-oriented software development skills.
- Experience with Agile, Scrum, or similar software development methodologies.
- Strong software architecture and system design experience.
- Ability to work effectively within cross-functional engineering teams.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
