Job description

The SAS Project Manager (PM) assumes a pivotal role in overseeing the successful delivery of Systems, Analytics, and Support investments. Collaborating closely with departmental and university leadership, the PM ensures alignment with university strategic plans, continuous improvement efforts, and Systems, Analytics, and Support project goals. Serving as the primary link between the university and Systems, Analytics, and Support, the PM facilitates effective communication and coordination throughout the lifecycle of SAS projects., * Collaborate with relevant internal stakeholders to define project scope and objectives, ensuring technical feasibility.

  • Develop comprehensive project plans detailing tasks, timelines, and milestones to monitor and track progress effectively.
  • Implement strategies to manage changes to project scope, schedule, and costs, utilizing appropriate verification techniques.
  • Employ suitable project management tools and techniques to measure performance and project outcomes.
  • Devise and execute project communication plans, providing regular status updates to relevant staff and stakeholders.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 5+ years technical project management experience.
  • Experience in related work may be substituted for degree requirements.
  • PMP (Project Management Professional) certification desired.

Candidates must have:

  • Demonstrated ability to manage technical projects and staff.
  • Strong knowledge of project management methodologies, tools, and best practices.
  • Excellent interpersonal skills to foster collaboration across divisions, technical teams, managed services partners, and vendors.
  • Experience in change management and stakeholder engagement.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address project risks and impacts.
