Job description

We are looking for an experienced Cloverleaf Integration Engineer, who will be responsible for the development, implementation, administration, monitoring, and support of healthcare interfaces utilizing Infor Cloverleaf Integration Suite. This position serves as an experienced interface engineer capable of independently designing, building, troubleshooting, and optimizing HL7, X12, FHIR, and API-based integrations between Epic and third-party applications.

The Cloverleaf Integration Engineer collaborates closely with application teams, infrastructure, vendors, and clinical stakeholders to ensure highly available, secure, and scalable integration solutions that support critical business and patient care operations.

  • East Coast Alignment: Our core operational and collaboration hours follow the Eastern Time Zone (ET), keeping our workflows synchronized with our primary clients and systems.

Special Factors:

  • Provide afterhours and weekend support for planned maintenance, system upgrades, Epic golives, and production incidents.
  • Occasional travel may be required to support customer implementations, training, project meetings, and golive activities.
  • Maintain required technical certifications and complete ongoing training for Cloverleaf, Epic, and other supported technologies.
  • Ability to support teams and customers across multiple time zones, as business needs dictate.
  • Comply with all applicable healthcare regulations and organizational policies, including HIPAA, information security, change management, and data privacy requirements.
  • Participate in disaster recovery testing, business continuity exercises, and production readiness activities.
  • Successfully complete all required background checks, security training, and compliance education as a condition of employment.

The Role / Work Arrangement:

  • Remote position with occasional onsite travel based on business needs.
  • Participation in an oncall rotation for production support.

Your Mission:

This role requires strong technical expertise in Cloverleaf, Linux administration, healthcare interoperability standards, and interface lifecycle management while contributing to continuous process improvement and mentoring junior team members.

What You’ll Do Day-to-Day / Key Responsibilities

Interface Development & Implementation

  • Design, develop, implement, and maintain healthcare interfaces using Infor Cloverleaf Integration Suite.
  • Build, configure, test, and deploy inbound and outbound HL7 interfaces.
  • Develop interface translation logic using Xlate, TPS (Tcl), and Cloverleaf process routing.
  • Configure message routing, filtering, batching, acknowledgements, and error handling.
  • Support interface migrations between development, test, validation, and production environments.
  • Participate in new application implementations and system upgrades.
  • Perform interface unit testing, integrated testing, and production validation

Develop and support Epic Bridges interfaces including:

  • ADT, Orders (ORM), Results (ORU), Billing (DFT), Clinical Documentation (MDM), Scheduling (SIU), Master File Notifications (MFN), FHIR APIs, Web Services, Epic Interconnect

Collaborate with Epic application analysts during:

  • New implementations, Upgrade testing, Integrated testing, GoLive support, Optimization initiatives

Administer and support Cloverleaf environments including:

  • Sites, Threads, Processes, Routes, Protocols, SMAT management, Xlate libraries, TPS libraries, Process scheduling

Perform:

  • Environment health monitoring, Performance tuning, Queue management, Process recovery, Database maintenance, Message replay, Disaster recovery testing

Performance Optimization

Analyze and optimize:

  • Interface throughput, Translation performance, Thread utilization, Database performance, Process distribution, Network communications, System capacity, and Recommend improvements to maximize reliability and scalability.

Requirements

  • 35 years of experience administering Infor Cloverleaf Integration Suite.
  • 5+ years of healthcare integration experience.
  • Experience supporting Epic Bridges integrations.
  • Experience supporting production healthcare environments, * Infor Cloverleaf Certification, Epic Bridges Certification, Epic Interconnect experience, FHIR implementation experience, * Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Information Systems, Healthcare Informatics, or a related technical field; or equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Certified in Cloverleaf is required
  • Certified in Epic bridges, preferred (preferred), * Prolonged periods of sitting and computerbased work.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with technical and nontechnical stakeholders.
  • Ability to travel occasionally to customer sites or data centers.
