Job description

  • Provide daily production support and troubleshoot electrical, controls, and electro-mechanical issues on the manufacturing floor.
  • Design, develop, and build electro-mechanical test fixtures for production acceptance testing (ATP).
  • Develop automated and semi-automated test equipment, processes, and protocols to improve testing efficiency, reliability, and safety.
  • Develop and maintain automated test data collection and reporting programs.
  • Support qualification and reliability testing, including test design, instrumentation selection, test setup, and execution.
  • Develop equipment and procedures for calibration of pressure transducers, flow meters, and other fluid measurement devices and controls.
  • Perform advanced instrumentation calibrations as needed.
  • Develop and maintain production wiring and crimping processes in accordance with industry standards, including IPC/WHMA-A-620.
  • Collaborate with Manufacturing Engineering and production teams to identify and resolve issues and improve processes.

Requirements

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced engineer who enjoys working directly on the manufacturing floor, troubleshooting complex electrical and controls issues, developing test equipment, and improving automated testing processes.

The ideal candidate is a motivated self-starter with strong electrical and mechanical aptitude, excellent communication skills, and a hands-on approach to engineering., * Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Electro-Mechanical Engineering, or a related field preferred.

  • 7-10 years of hands-on experience in electrical design, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Strong understanding of electrical safety codes and standards.
  • Experience programming PLCs and working with ladder logic.
  • Experience with instrumentation and test setup.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical and electro-mechanical systems.
  • Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex production issues independently.
  • Strong communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced manufacturing environment.

Preferred Experience

  • PLC programming / Ladder Logic
  • LabVIEW
  • PID temperature controllers
  • Ethernet / MODBUS
  • SolidWorks
  • IPC/WHMA-A-620 wiring and crimping standards
  • Pressure, flow, temperature, and other instrumentation
  • Automated test systems and data acquisition
  • Advanced Microsoft Excel and MS Access

We’re looking for a hands-on, technically strong engineer who enjoys solving problems, building test solutions, and working closely with production. The right person will be comfortable moving between engineering design, troubleshooting, testing, and the manufacturing floor.
