Job description
The Regional Director of Pest Control Operations is responsible for leading, optimizing, and standardizing operational performance across four locations. This position provides direct leadership to Operations Managers and maintains overall accountability for operational excellence, financial performance, employee development, compliance, customer experience, and strategic growth initiatives.
The Regional Director partners with Executive Leadership to establish operational strategy, improve organizational performance, implement new initiatives, expand service offerings, and ensure consistent execution of company standards across all locations.
Key ResponsibilitiesOperational Leadership
- Provide strategic leadership and oversight for Operations Managers across all regional locations.
- Establish regional operational goals aligned with company strategy and ensure consistent execution across all locations.
- Standardize operating procedures, workflows, and performance expectations.
- Monitor and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs), including productivity, technician utilization, route efficiency, service quality, labor efficiency, and safety performance.
- Conduct operational reviews and audits to identify opportunities for continuous improvement.
- Coordinate regional resources, including personnel, fleet, and equipment, to maximize operational efficiency.
- Oversee routing strategy, territory optimization, scheduling processes, and workforce capacity planning to ensure efficient service delivery.
Leadership & People Development
- Directly supervise, coach, mentor, and evaluate Operations Managers & Asst. Managers.
- Ensure Operations Managers effectively lead Assistant Managers and field technicians while maintaining consistent leadership standards.
- Develop leadership succession plans and management development initiatives.
- Establish consistent hiring, onboarding, training, and performance management practices across all locations.
- Partner with Operations Managers to oversee recruiting efforts, and implement effective retention strategies.
- Oversee company training programs, including technical, field, safety, and leadership development.
- Administer performance reviews, accountability measures, improvement plans, and incentive programs.
- Foster a culture of accountability, professionalism, safety, and continuous improvement.
Financial & Business Performance
- Oversee regional operating budgets, labor efficiency, and expense management.
- Identify opportunities to improve profitability through operational efficiencies, customer retention, service expansion, pricing initiatives, and cost control.
- Collaborate with Executive Leadership on strategic planning, operational scalability, and long-term growth initiatives.
Strategic Projects & Operational Systems
- Lead implementation of operational systems, technology enhancements, and service innovations.
- Ensure operational technologies and business systems effectively support field operations, fleet management, technician performance, customer service, and reporting.
- Maintain operational dashboards and reporting tools that provide accurate performance metrics for leadership decision-making.
- Partner with Sales, Service, Marketing, and Administrative teams to align operational execution with customer expectations and business objectives.
- Evaluate and implement process improvements that enhance operational consistency and organizational effectiveness.
Customer Experience & Service Excellence
- Ensure consistent delivery of high-quality customer service across all locations.
- Support Operations Managers in resolving complex operational issues and escalated customer concerns.
- Monitor customer satisfaction metrics and implement corrective action plans when necessary.
- Promote service quality initiatives that strengthen customer retention and brand reputation.
Compliance, Safety & Asset Management
- Ensure compliance with all applicable federal, state, and local regulations, including:
- Virginia Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services (VDACS)
- North Carolina Structural Pest Control regulations
- OSHA standards
- Environmental and pesticide application requirements
- Maintain licensing and certification compliance for all field personnel.
- Enforce company safety policies, driver safety standards, and operational compliance programs.
- Oversee regional fleet management, including vehicle allocation, preventive maintenance, utilization, and replacement planning.
- Establish standards for inventory management, equipment utilization, and preventive maintenance across all locations.
- Conduct regular safety, compliance, and operational audits.
Communication & Reporting
- Serve as the primary operational liaison between regional leadership and Executive Leadership.
- Lead regular regional operations meetings and planning sessions both with individual managers and as a group
- Provide routine reporting on operational performance, financial results, staffing, compliance, and strategic initiatives.
- Support executive decision-making through forecasting, performance analysis, and operational recommendations., * Combination of office, field, and location visits.
- Frequent travel between regional offices and operational locations.
- During the primary operating season (February through October), regular in-office and field presence is expected to support operations and leadership.
- During the off-season (November through January), work schedules may be more flexible while maintaining availability for meetings, planning sessions, and operational support.
- Position requires flexibility to meet business and operational demands.
Pay: $80,000.00 - $110,000.00 per year
Requirements
- Seven (7) or more years of operations leadership experience, preferably within pest control, home services, or another route-based service industry.
- Demonstrated success leading multiple locations through subordinate managers.
- Strong leadership, coaching, organizational development, and change management skills.
- Experience managing operational planning, budgeting, KPIs, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Working knowledge of routing optimization, technician scheduling, and field operations.
- Thorough understanding of pest control operations, regulatory compliance, and safety requirements.
- Valid driver’s license with the ability to travel regularly between regional locations.
- Virginia Commercial Pest Control License (Categories 7A, 7B, and 8).
- North Carolina Structural Pest Control License, including Wood Destroying Organisms.

Physical Requirements
- Ability to occasionally lift and carry up to 55 pounds when visiting field operations.

- Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, and crouch as needed while visiting operational sites.
- Ability to work safely in field environments and promote safe work practices., * Pest Control: 5 years (Required)
License/Certification:
- VDACS license (Required)
