Job description

You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (SYSANALSIS/CUSTSPT) in the N6 C4I DEPARTMENT of CDR NAVY EXPEDITIONARY COMBAT COMMAND., Help

  • You will analyze network information to measure performance and system utilization.
  • You will analyze network system logs to determine the root cause of a system failure.
  • You will configure network assets (e.g., servers, routers, switches, hubs, firewalls, peripherals, hardware, software, or similar assets) for reliable performance.
  • You will evaluate networks to verify continued reliability of networked systems.
  • You will analyze operating systems malfunctions to implement corrective actions.
  • You will diagnose issues with application software to implement solutions to problems.
  • You will Investigate existing information technology (IT) systems to identify potential issues.
  • You will resolve interface issues and challenges during the design, test, and evaluation phases.

  • This is a bargaining unit position.
  • You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of a job offer or removal.
  • This position is designated as a Cyber IT/Cybersecurity Workforce position. You must obtain and maintain the credentials as described in SECNAV M-5239.2 for specialty area Technical Support Specialist level 41 within 12 months of appointment.
  • Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or fail the test. Requirements

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-11 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following:

Experience with policies and regulations governing information and communication systems.Experience with network administrative systems to include financial and logistics.Experience applying network systems management methods to conduct analysis and recommend resolution to complex issues affecting computer network defense security.Experience with computer related operating systems, hardware systems, and network applications and devices including process and stateful packet inspection firewalls, routers and switches..
