Job description

We are seeking a creative and user-focused UX/UI Designer to drive user research, create intuitive digital experiences, and translate insights into high-fidelity designs. This role partners closely with product managers, developers, architects, and other cross-functional stakeholders to design and validate solutions that improve the user experience across web applications, mobile experiences, internal systems, and digital products., * Conduct user research, usability testing, and other Human-Centered Design activities to understand user needs and inform design decisions.

  • Translate research findings into user flows, wireframes, prototypes, and high-fidelity UI designs.
  • Design intuitive, accessible, and responsive user experiences for web and mobile applications.
  • Collaborate with product managers, developers, and cross-functional teams throughout the product development lifecycle.
  • Participate in Agile planning and ensure design solutions align with business goals and user needs.
  • Present research insights and design recommendations to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
  • Promote user-centered design best practices and contribute to design standards, documentation, and reusable resources.
  • Mentor team members and share knowledge of UX/UI methodologies, tools, and emerging trends.
  • Ensure all designs meet accessibility standards and maintain consistency through design systems and component libraries.
  • Support additional visual design needs, including presentations, digital assets, and marketing materials, as needed.

Requirements

  • U.S. citizenship is required.
  • Applicants selected for this position must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust clearance.
  • Employment is contingent upon the successful completion of a Government background investigation and all applicable security requirements., * Experience conducting user research, usability testing, and user-centered design activities.
  • Strong understanding of Human-Centered Design (HCD) methodologies.
  • Demonstrated expertise in one or more of the following:
  • User Experience (UX) Design
  • User Interface (UI) Design
  • Interaction Design
  • Service Design
  • Experience creating wireframes, prototypes, user flows, journey maps, and high-fidelity mockups.
  • Ability to translate user research into intuitive and engaging digital experiences.
  • Strong written, verbal, and visual communication skills.
  • Experience working within Agile product development teams.
  • Excellent collaboration, facilitation, and stakeholder management skills.

Accessibility

  • Strong understanding of digital accessibility principles and WCAG standards.
  • Experience designing inclusive digital experiences.
  • Familiarity with accessibility testing tools such as JAWS or similar technologies.

  • Experience using AI-powered design tools and large language models (LLMs) to accelerate ideation, research synthesis, content generation, and rapid design iteration
  • Experience working with design systems and reusable component libraries
  • Familiarity with responsive, mobile-first, and accessible design best practices

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience designing enterprise, SaaS, or customer-facing digital products.
  • Experience developing and maintaining design systems.
  • Knowledge of front-end development principles and developer handoff best practices.
  • Experience facilitating design workshops, stakeholder interviews, and collaborative ideation sessions.
