Video Network Engineer (Fluvanna CC): Central Administration #01179

Experteer Overview In this role you will support statewide video network operations to enable secure, reliable telecommunication for public safety and inmate-facing services. You will work within the Information Technology Unit to manage DOC site systems and collaborate with government partners and telehealth initiatives. You will handle on-call incident response to outages and critical issues, and contribute to ongoing documentation and reporting. This role offers exposure to cross-agency projects and a chance to shape how video communications support mission-critical operations. Compensation / Benefits * Support and manage systems for all DOC sites to enable video services * Maintain connections to governmental agencies, private sector programs, and telehealth initiatives * Provide on-call availability to respond to outages and urgent issues * Support statewide Video Network Operations and cross-site coordination * Develop and document infrastructure-related reporting and dashboards Tasks * Strong organization and planning skills * Corrections experience and understanding of technology in department processes * Effective oral and written communication * Proficiency with video infrastructure and video scheduling software * Ability to manage multiple projects and resolve complex infrastructure issues * Experience with Leankit, Sharepoint, Asset Panda, PowerBi for documentation and reporting * Experience with codec (H323/SIP) video conferencing, ZOOMGov, Webex * Willingness to travel up to 30% * On-call availability after regular hours Key requirements *
