Workday Financials & Extend Consultant

We are seeking an experienced Workday Financials & Extend Consultant with a strong blend of functional and technical expertise. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience implementing and supporting Workday Financial Management modules while also designing and developing custom applications and integrations using Workday Extend, Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, APIs, and Workday Orchestrate.

The consultant will partner closely with Finance, Accounting, Procurement, and Technology stakeholders to deliver scalable solutions that optimize business processes, improve user experience, and support finance transformation initiatives.

Key Responsibilities

Lead Workday Financials implementation, enhancement, optimization, and support activities.

Configure and support Workday Financial Management modules including General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Expenses, Banking & Cash Management, Projects, Fixed Assets, and Revenue Management.

Design, develop, test, and deploy custom applications using Workday Extend.

Build and support integrations using Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, REST APIs, and SOAP APIs.

Develop workflow automation solutions using Workday Orchestrate.

Gather and analyze business requirements and translate them into scalable Workday solutions.

Configure Workday business processes, security, calculated fields, reports, and dashboards.

Support data conversion, SIT, UAT, deployment, and post-production stabilization activities.

Troubleshoot complex production issues and implement system enhancements.

Develop functional and technical design documentation, test scripts, and training materials.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to support upgrades, releases, governance processes, and enhancement roadmaps., The ideal candidate will be a hybrid Workday Functional and Technical Consultant who can independently configure Workday Financials modules, develop custom applications using Workday Extend, build integrations, and engage directly with business stakeholders to deliver end-to-end Workday solutions.

7+ years of Workday experience, including Workday Financials, Extend, and Integrations, Workday Financials

Hands-on experience with Workday Financial Management configuration.

Strong knowledge of General Ledger, Accounts Payable, Accounts Receivable, Procurement, Expenses, Banking & Cash Management, Projects, Fixed Assets, and Revenue Management.

Experience with financial reporting, business processes, security, controls, and finance stakeholder support.

Workday Extend & Integrations

Hands-on development experience with Workday Extend.

Strong experience with Workday Studio, EIB, Core Connectors, Workday Integrations, REST APIs, SOAP APIs, and Workday Orchestrate.

Experience with Workday reporting, calculated fields, security framework, and data migration.

Ability to support end-to-end solution delivery from design through production deployment.

General Consulting Skills

Strong client-facing and stakeholder management experience.

Experience gathering requirements and conducting workshops.

Excellent communication, presentation, and documentation skills.

Ability to work independently in a fast-paced consulting environment.

Preferred Qualifications

Workday Financials Certification.

Workday Extend Certification and/or Workday Integration Certification.

Experience with Workday Prism Analytics and Workday Accounting Center.

CPA, CMA, MBA Finance, or equivalent finance/accounting background.

Experience with global finance transformation initiatives.

Experience working in Agile delivery environments.
