Job description

  • Design, develop, and implement automated and bench-level test equipment for electronics DVT, production testing, ATPs (Acceptance Test Procedures), and FTPs (Functional Test Procedures).
  • Architect, code, and maintain LabVIEW and TestStand test sequences (ATEasy experience also welcome).
  • Develop hardware/software interfaces, test adapters, instrumentation configurations, and full test workflows.

Design Verification & Hands-On Engineering

  • Perform design verification testing of complex electronic assemblies, modules, and LRUs.
  • Execute hands-on troubleshooting, debug activities, root-cause isolation, and hardware evaluation using oscilloscopes, DMMs, power supplies, and RF instrumentation.
  • Lead test readiness activities, including ATP/FTP creation, data analysis, documentation, and design feedback.

Engineering Documentation & Test Program Leadership

  • Generate engineering schematics, diagrams, test plans, qualification protocols, and formal reports.
  • Manage test schedules, coordinate test technicians, and support cross-functional engineering teams.
  • Develop and/or support qualification test procedures for military and commercial aerospace programs., * LabVIEW, TestStand, ATLAS, Turbo ATLAS, Fortran, C/C++/C#, PBASIC, Embedded C

Requirements

We are seeking a Test “Equipment Design” Engineer with strong LabVIEW/TestStand expertise and hands-on design verification testing (DVT) experience to support automated test development for production, qualification, and new product introduction (NPI). This role is ideal for engineers who excel in developing test solutions for high-reliability electronics and enjoy working hands-on in a dynamic engineering lab., * BS degree required (Electrical Engineering highly preferred).

  • 5+ years in automated test equipment (ATE) development or test engineering for electronic products.
  • Proven experience creating or executing ATPs, FTPs, and DVT test protocols.
  • Strong hands-on lab background in electronics testing, debugging, and instrumentation.
  • Experience in the aerospace or defense industry (mil/aero qualification experience highly preferred).
  • Proficiency with LabVIEW, TestStand, SPICE tools, schematic capture, and PWB layout fundamentals.
  • Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and documentation skills.

Desired Skills

  • Experience with ATEasy, MATLAB, VHDL, or PLCs.
  • Strong background in analog electronics and RF troubleshooting.
  • Working knowledge of qualification compliance, environmental testing, and formal test reporting.
  • Familiarity with DoD or aerospace standards and compliance documentation.

Level II Also Considered (2-5 Years)

A second position is open for candidates with 2-5 years of experience who demonstrate strong technical aptitude and a desire to grow into a senior design/test engineering role., Multi-disciplinary Test Engineer / Electrical Engineer with extensive experience in Automated Test Equipment (ATE), LabVIEW/TestStand development, and design verification testing for aerospace and defense electronics. Skilled in software-driven testing, hardware debug, microcontroller analysis, and test solution development for high-reliability systems. Recognized for advanced troubleshooting abilities, strong engineering intuition, and leadership in test development and upgrades., * Bachelor’s (Required), * designing Test Equipment: 3 years (Required)
