Job description
AT&T is looking for Sr Specialist Member of Technical Staff - AI Network Automation Engineer, to support Fiber Metro Platform and Infrastructure workflow development and automation, as well as broader OSS initiatives across Wireline Core and Mobility networks within Network Analytics & Automation. The roles directly support delivery of AI-enabled workflow development, test automation, and modernization initiatives across Artemis, Mobility, and Wireline platforms. These positions are critical to scaling internal engineering capability, reducing dependency on legacy systems and vendor-managed services, and accelerating delivery of Network CTO transformation commitments aligned to AT&T’s top strategic priorities.
What you’ll do:
The roles provide strong hands-on technical execution and domain expertise and are essential for scaling delivery across teams advancing AI-driven testing, automation, and OSS development across Wireline Core and Mobility networks.
The roles support key initiatives including:
- Fiber metro Platform and Infrastructure workflow development and test automation with trained AI templates and agents
- OSS workflow development, integration, and automation supporting Wireline Core and Mobility network domains
- AI-enabled modernization and migration of legacy inventory schemas and APIs for Mobility and Wireline
- Automation of AWS Outpost workloads to meet security auditing and operational compliance requirements
Requirements
- Bachelor’s or master’s degree in computer science, computer engineering, data science, or a related technical field.
- 0-2 years of experience in software development, network analytics, data engineering, automation, or a related technical role.
- Familiarity with one or more programming languages, such as Python, Java, or C/C++, along with a basic understanding of development tools, software lifecycle practices, and engineering workflows.
- Ability to support the development of data-driven tools and automation solutions that improve network operations efficiency and reliability.
What you’ll bring:
- Relevant exposure to AI/ML concepts, software engineering practices, and modern application development.
- Ability to write clean, maintainable, and production-ready code.
- Experience building, deploying, or supporting scalable services on major cloud platforms.
- Strong analytical thinking, problem-solving skills, and willingness to learn new technologies in a fast-paced engineering environment.
- Ability to help accelerate platform, infrastructure, and OSS workflow delivery while supporting adoption of AI-enabled engineering practices aligned with network transformation programs.

Our Sr Specialist Member of Technical Staff, earns between $137,200-$205,800 USD Annual, Not to mention all the other amazing rewards that working at AT&T offers. Individual starting salary within this range may depend on geography, experience, expertise, and education/training.
