Job description

  • Post-Sprint Autonomy: Zero ongoing obligation after 12 weeks, with options to continue working on DataAnnotation projects at your cadence., * Scenario & Task Authoring: Create comprehensive, realistic healthcare operations prompts, edge-case scenarios, and context files (ranging from 10 to 50+ individual documentation files per task) to challenge AI models.
  • AI Model Evaluation & Rubric Creation: Test prompts on active AI models, analyze output accuracy, and build detailed grading rubrics to evaluate model performance against complex healthcare standards.
  • Domain Validation: Ensure AI models handle domain-specific terminology, documentation rules, compliance standards, and workflow logic safely and accurately.
  • Independent Execution: Work self-sufficiently using provided AI tools, detailed project instructions, shared Slack communication, and support resources (such as office hours).

Requirements

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree strongly preferred (or equivalent advanced practical domain experience).
  • Domain Experience: Substantive background in Healthcare Operations, Health Information Management (HIM), Revenue Cycle, or Payer/Health Plan Operations.
  • Autonomy & Work Ethic: Exceptional grit, attention to detail, stamina for deep analytical work, and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision., * Coding & Billing / Rev Cycle: Medical Coders, Coding Auditors, Clinical Documentation Improvement (CDI) Specialists, and Revenue Cycle Analysts.
  • Certifications: AAPC or AHIMA credentials-such as Certified Professional Coder (CPC), Certified Coding Specialist (CCS), or Certified Coding Associate (CCA)-are preferred, though practical experience outweighs credentials.
  • HIM & Compliance: HIM Managers/Directors, Compliance Officers, or HIPAA Specialists.
  • Utilization & Care Management: Utilization Review (UR) Nurses or Case Managers.
  • Payer & Claims Operations: Claims Adjudicators, Provider Credentialing Specialists, or Health Plan Operations staff.
  • Prior AI Experience: Experience on remote data annotation or LLM platforms (e.g., Outlier, Turing, Mercor, Handshake AI, Remotask) is a plus.

Benefits & conditions

  • Role Title: AI Healthcare Opertation Expert
  • Engagement: 12-Week AI Training Sprint, 100% Remote
  • Weekly Hours: 30-40 hours per week (Consistent availability across all 12 weeks is required)
  • Pay Rate: $75.00 / hour (~$2,250-$3,000/week ~$27,000-$36,000 for full sprint)
  • Paid Assessment: 3-4 hours, flat $240 rate (Withdrawable 7 days after completion)
  • Work Style: Long-form, self-directed AI evaluation. Experts review, rank, and author healthcare ops outputs (coding/billing, utilization management, HIM, payer ops). Zero direct patient care, shift work, or on-call duties.
  • Post-Sprint Flexibility: Complete freedom upon sprint completion-offboard entirely or continue flexible project-based work on your own schedule.
