Job description

  • Design, implement, and maintain enterprise LAN, WAN, wireless, and Metropolitan Optical Ethernet (MOE) infrastructure.
  • Support Cisco routing, switching, wireless, VPN, and firewall technologies.
  • Administer and optimize Cisco CUCM, Microsoft Teams Voice, and other voice services.
  • Troubleshoot complex network, wireless, and telephony issues across the district.
  • Help improve network performance, resiliency, and security.
  • Support Azure and AWS networking, including hybrid connectivity.
  • Work closely with Information Security on segmentation, access controls, and other security initiatives.
  • Mentor Network Administrators and serve as a technical resource for the team.
  • Contribute to modernization projects, automation efforts, and continuous improvement.
  • Document network standards, configurations, and operational procedures.

Requirements

Successful candidates will have:

  • 7+ years of enterprise network engineering experience.
  • Experience with enterprise wireless and VoIP environments.
  • Strong knowledge of routing, switching, BGP, OSPF, VLANs, STP, and QoS.
  • Experience with Cisco networking technologies.
  • Familiarity with Azure or AWS networking.
  • Experience with automation tools such as Python, Ansible, or GitHub is a plus.
  • The ability to communicate technical concepts clearly and work collaboratively across teams.

A bachelor’s degree (or equivalent experience) is required. Certifications such as CCNP, CWNA, Meraki, JNCIA/JNCIS, or ITIL are helpful but not required., * Bachelor’s (Preferred)
