Computer Engineering Desktop Computing Hardware Design C4ISR Vulnerability Analysis

Job description

Because this role involves a combination of collaborative/in-person and independent work, it will take the form of a hybrid work format, with time split between working onsite and remotely.

See what you re missing. Our employees work on the world s most advanced electronics from detecting threats for F-35 pilots to illuminating the night for soldiers. Spanning air, land, sea, and space, we are developing the technology of tomorrow, delivered today. Drawing strength from our differences, we re innovating for the future. And you can, too. Our flexible work environment provides you a chance to change the world without giving up your personal life. We put our customers first exemplified by our mission: We Protect Those Who Protect Us. Sound like a team you want to be a part of? Come build your career with BAE Systems.

This Hardware Lead position is intended to support our Space Systems business within Command, Control, Communications, Computers, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C4ISR) Systems with a focus on RF Electronics. Space is a booming business where we are seeing a surge of activity to take our RF discriminating technologies and to spacify them. Think military aircraft to satellites. The missions and requirements span all earth orbits from LEO to GEO. The need for RF capabilities in Space is rapidly growing.

As a Hardware Lead, the position will own the cost, schedule and technical content within the hardware scope. The position will oversee technical program execution working with other leads (Electrical, Mechanical, Radiation, etc). The role will be responsible for CAMing (Cost Account Management) and Earned Value reporting for the hardware scope. Hardware leads are responsible for jumping in and solving technical problems as they happen and supporting the team along the way. The Hardware Lead will also be involved heavily with integration efforts as hardware arrives. The Hardware Lead role will not be a people manager, but they will be expected to provide some feedback on the team for performance.

This position reports to Space Systems Hardware Engineering management and will be in the same department as the other Hardware Engineers working on the same programs. The role will be part of a diverse, enthusiastic and highly productive team, where each employee has the opportunity to grow their skills and work on challenging projects. BAE Systems provides a flexible work schedule with every other Friday off, and a great benefits package. This position is for a hybrid work environment working 50% or more onsite.
