Job description

** Tired of cranking out code like you’re on a never-ending sprint?**

At InTouch, we prioritize quality over speed, giving you the space to build impactful, reliable solutions for smart and safe cities.

Empowering mobility solutions

You’re a senior, technically deep profile who takes full ownership of complex projects, not just how something gets built, but whether it should be built at all. You model problems with Domain-Driven Design, pair that with a solid platform foundation, and help set the standard for AI-native ways of working. We’re not just growing, we’re evolving, and we need your expertise to get us there.

The mission: building best-in-class mobility solutions

InTouch is on a journey to automate traffic enforcement with AI, bringing efficiency and safety to cities through scalable technology.

We want to build best-in-class products that are stable, reliable, and future-proof. Our product serves cities, municipalities, and police districts, making mobility smooth for citizens and transforming how enforcement processes work. ️

As Solution Engineer at InTouch, you’ll be at the heart of our technological evolution, helping to lead our migration from legacy systems to a modern stack. Today that means JEE, Spring Boot, Apache Camel, PostgreSQL \& Angular. Tomorrow it may look different, we choose our tools per problem, so Go, React or something else entirely could be part of the picture.

That openness is deliberate. We’re moving towards AI-native development, where technology becomes more of an abstraction layer and the outcome leads. You’ll focus on context engineering, write custom skills for our agents, and shape the workflows and SDLC that let a small team ship far beyond its size. What doesn’t get abstracted away is architecture: agents only deliver good solutions when someone sets the direction, defines the guardrails, and knows why one design holds up in production and another quietly falls apart. That’s where your experience matters most.

You’ll move across the full stack rather than sitting in one corner of it. We care less about which language you’ve mastered and more about how fast you can reason about a new one, guide agents to build the right thing in it, and stay accountable for what ends up in front of our customers.

This role sits alongside our architect as a full technical sparring partner. Where the architect owns the overarching architecture direction and governance, you’re in the trenches: building, modeling domains, safeguarding product value, and validating decisions within your own domain.

Your impact: mentor and innovator

Ownership \& vision: own a project or domain end-to-end, build and communicate a clear technical and product vision, and align your team and stakeholders around it.

Mentor \& guide: be a player-coach who supports junior and medior engineers, fosters a “no blame” culture, and represents the team in cross-team discussions.

Quality \& craftsmanship: raise the engineering bar through testing, code reviews, and observability, and own what you deliver.

AI-native working: set the standard for AI-native working, build reusable skills and workflows, and safeguard the quality of AI-generated output.

Collaborate for success: partner across teams, pair-program with teammates and AI, and share knowledge through workshops and documentation.

Why you’ll love it here: our culture \& perks

Ambitious environment with real impact at a fast-growing SaaS B2B scale-up. Strong leadership from Geert, our Head of Engineering, who champions open feedback and continuous improvement. Empowerment \& ownership, with high autonomy over product and technology choices. A supportive, informal team that values collaboration and having fun together. Learning \& development through conferences and training. Hybrid \& flexible work centered around our Leuven/Sint-Truiden hub. Inclusive \& diverse; documentation is in English, conversational Dutch is a plus (“handig”).
