Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer to join a high-performing IT Operations team, supporting the delivery and improvement of secure, resilient, and efficient cloud and infrastructure services across hybrid environments. This is an excellent opportunity for a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer with strong Azure, VMware, and enterprise infrastructure experience to contribute to both strategic projects and operational excellence., * Build, manage, and maintain reliable, secure, and cost-effective infrastructure across cloud and on-premises environments.

• Provision, deploy, configure, maintain, and administer cloud, data centre, endpoint, and infrastructure services.
• Monitor service performance, troubleshoot incidents and outages, and support upgrades, patching, hotfixes, and security configuration changes.
• Support Azure resource deployments using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code best practices.
• Assist with vulnerability management activities across infrastructure components, operating systems, and platforms.
• Provide infrastructure support for Cisco Secure Access and Cisco ISE solutions.
• Support the administration and operational use of security technologies including Mimecast, Cisco ISE, and Cisco Secure Access.
• Act as the infrastructure SME for PAM, IAM, and IAG initiatives, supporting secure access management and governance controls.
• Review infrastructure changes for security impacts and recommend improvements.
• Contribute to cloud, infrastructure, data centre, and network projects, ensuring successful delivery and transition into BAU support.
• Provide infrastructure guidance and support for managed service activities and wider IT service changes.
• Maintain operational documentation and collaborate with internal teams and third-party providers to drive continual service improvement.
• Ensure infrastructure services align with security, compliance, risk management, and data protection requirements.

• Proven experience as a Cloud & Infrastructure Engineer working across hybrid cloud and enterprise infrastructure environments.
• Strong technical expertise in Microsoft Azure and VMware vSphere.
• Hands-on experience implementing, configuring, integrating, and supporting Microsoft-based technologies.
• Strong understanding of infrastructure operations, monitoring, patch management, vulnerability management, and service resilience.
• Experience supporting security platforms and controls including Mimecast, Cisco ISE, Cisco Secure Access, PAM, IAM, and IAG solutions.
• Experience using Terraform and infrastructure-as-code methodologies.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills with a structured approach to service restoration and improvement.
• Strong communication, stakeholder management, and presentation skills.
• Ability to work independently, manage priorities effectively, and take ownership of technical deliverables.
