The Financial Economic Crime (FEC) Data Domain is responsible for enabling & accelerating DFC processes through high quality Data Products. We work on data onboarding, data modelling, data quality to translate data towards business value. Our aim is to work towards a centralized, rationalized, high quality data landscape to facilitate the wide range of DFC processes.
As a Business Consultant in the Data Product Team within the FEC Data Domain, you will play a pivotal role in delivering end-to-end data solutions to generate value for DFC and data consumers across the organization. We are looking for someone who can combine data management expertise with curiosity, analytical thinking and strong communication skills. The role requires a person who is comfortable diving into details, understanding complex data landscapes, asking critical questions and helping bridge the gap between business and technology.
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Understanding the data needs and related requirements of new regulatory requirements and build Data Products to meet those.
- Help to understand and implement how data used and generated by GenAI solutions, can be captured in consumable data products.
- Collaborating with 1st and 2nd line parties, Data Scientists and on- and offshore IT Engineers to develop data solutions within cross-functional teams. These solutions should create business value and align with ABN AMRO’s and DFC’s overarching priorities.
- Promoting and embedding the FEC Data Domains Mission and Vision across relevant stakeholder groups.
- Lead data onboarding & data modeling and monitor & improve data quality.
The FEC Data Domain is responsible for developing and managing data solutions while enabling use cases in the field of Detecting Financial Crime. As the data owner for all DFC-related processes, the team is accountable for Data Modeling, Data Engineering, Data Quality and all Data Management activities. Next to various stakeholders that are consuming our Data Products, you will work closely with a highly skilled team of Data Consultants, Data Engineers, Data Architects and the Data Product Owner of the FEC Data Domain, both onshore and offshore. Requirements
- You hold an HBO/WO Master’s degree.
- 2-5 years of relevant work experience, preferably within financial services or consultancy.
- You possess strong analytical skills, allowing you to quickly grasp complex topics and identify connections.
- You have experience with collaboration and managing/coordinating data projects.
- Experience with data modeling is a plus.
- Experience with Databricks or equivalent is a plus.
- Basic understanding of Data Management principles is a plus.
- You demonstrate “data savviness” and are capable of performing queries and analyzing data independently.
- You have a natural curiosity to understand the business context behind data requirements.
- You embrace the Agile way of working and are comfortable with the Scrum methodology.
