The Amazon Web Services (AWS) Recruiting team is seeking a talented, customer focused recruiter with a passion for delighting the client and candidate, to join our recruiting organization. You will be supporting AWS teams dedicated to working on behalf of our commercial sector customers to drive candidate generation strategies in partnership with your clients.

Successful recruiters on this team will utilize their experience in setting benchmarks, forecasting and tracking against metrics while prioritizing to meet hiring targets. They thrive in an innovative, fast-paced environment, can roll up their sleeves, work hard, and have fun to get the job done. They draw on extensive knowledge of Talent Acquisition and functional areas of the business, forging dynamic relationships with business leaders and hiring managers.

Key job responsibilities

  • Partner with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of return on investment.
  • Recruit passive tech candidates and possess the mentality to identify and gauge chemistry of candidates for role fit and understand their motivation rather than sell a role.
  • Provides strategic guidance and becomes an advisor business leader in matters related to technical and non-technical hiring by delivering results.
  • Develop sourcing models and plans to generate technical and non-technical talent pools, create and execute robust search strategies that will attract the best and brightest talent and calibrate job profiles with hiring managers.
  • Recommend ideas and strategies related to recruitment that will contribute to the long-range growth of the company, implementing any new processes and fine-tuning standard processes for recruiting that fits within Amazon’s mission to deliver the highest quality results to the customer.
  • Articulate in writing a plan with deliverables, timelines and a formal tracking process.
  • Interview candidates within the framework of the position specification. Possess strong ability to screen, interview and prepare a candidate slate within an appropriate and consistent timeline.
  • Participate in and/or own special projects/recruiting initiatives, including assessment of best practices in interviewing techniques, leveraging of internal sources of talent and identification of top performers for senior-level

openings.

Focus and Deliverables for the first 12 months:

  • Full Amazon and AWS immersion - learn our business models, competencies, and leadership principles
  • Develop search strategies, conduct research, perform thorough assessments, and present qualified candidates for critical sales and professional services executive roles
  • Learn about Amazon’s overall needs across functional areas and develop strategies for individual and team success in the identification and attraction of senior-level talent

Requirements

Do you have experience in Research?, * 3+ years of corporate or search firm progressive recruiting or research experience

  • Experience building and utilizing a variety of sourcing plans and tools, including proactive phone and internet research
  • Experience with CTS/ATS with sourcing, tracking and managing candidates
  • 2+ years of Microsoft Office including Outlook, Word, and Excel experience
  • Experience managing multiple projects, prioritizing, planning, and managing time, * Experience partnering with hiring teams to build effective sourcing, assessment, and closing approaches with an ability to manage customer/partner expectations through a deep understanding of ROI
  • Experience using strong customer service, communication, and interpersonal skills
  • Experience executing recruiting strategy, including employer promotion in the marketplace, candidate management, diversity sourcing, and interview process management
  • Experience working independently with minimal supervision, or 5+ years of Amazon experience
  • Experience in utilizing data and analytical skills to create, measure, and scale workflows to achieve accelerated hiring goals
