Job description

The Program Technical Office (PTO) owns the automation philosophy, program technical standards, and overall consistency across all projects. During the execution phase, the PTO provides oversight and hands-on support to individual project teams. This is a multi-disciplinary function spanning Automation Software, Automation Hardware, Digital Plant, and Computer System Validation (CSV).

Working alongside the PTO Engineering Leads and Technical Manager, the PTO Engineer will help develop the standards and guidance needed to support the program and ensure project teams remain aligned with the wider automation strategy., * Provide technical contribution across the various PTO workstreams

  • Partner with the relevant PTO workstream lead to deliver against short- and long-term objectives
  • Collaborate with project technical teams to ensure automation solutions align with the overall program philosophy and standards
  • Help define the software components that need to be created or modified
  • Support the development of PTO deliverables
  • Offer technical consulting and support as an integral member of the PTO team
  • Interface with other disciplines and stakeholders to ensure PTO deliverables meet business needs
  • Maintain compliance with all training requirements

Requirements

  • BS in Engineering (or equivalent experience)
  • 5+ years of automation experience
  • 3+ years’ hands-on experience with DeltaV Batch DCS
  • Python scripting experience (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of GMP, regulatory requirements, and computer system validation principles
  • Exceptional teamwork and collaboration skills
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage both technical and non-technical audiences

Preferred Experience

  • Delivery of large-scale automation projects within the pharmaceutical industry
  • Majority of career experience in a pharmaceutical/GMP environment
  • Experience with Manufacturing Execution Systems (MES)
  • Exposure to scripting and/or AI applications

Benefits & conditions

$115-125/hr (1099) or $165-175K (W2)
