Job description
We are seeking a hands-on Data Platform Engineer to design, automate, and maintain end-to-end data pipelines and cloud infrastructure supporting a major banking client. In this role, you will bridge software engineering and data infrastructure-writing backend services, automating CI/CD pipelines on AWS, and delivering reporting datasets across SQL, Snowflake, and QuickSight., * Pipeline & Platform Automation: Design, automate, and maintain CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure on AWS to push and process data efficiently.
- Service & Script Development: Build, optimize, and maintain backend services and automation scripts using Ruby, Python, Bash, and Kotlin.
- Data Reporting & Warehousing Support: Support data reporting and analytics workflows using SQL, Snowflake, and QuickSight.
- Reliability & Performance: Ensure high availability, observability, and security for data pipelines and cloud workloads in a strict banking compliance environment.
Requirements
- Scripting & Backend Languages: Hands-on experience developing scripts and services in Ruby, Python, Bash, and Kotlin.
- Data & Analytics Stack: Proven proficiency in writing and optimizing complex SQL, managing data within Snowflake, and supporting dashboards/reporting in QuickSight.
- Cloud & Automation: Direct experience designing, automating, and maintaining CI/CD pipelines and cloud infrastructure on AWS.
- Location Requirement: Ability to work onsite 2-3 days per week in McLean, VA., * Experience supporting large-scale enterprise environments or banking/financial services clients.
- Familiarity with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or CloudFormation) and data pipeline monitoring.
