Job description

Hyster-Yale Materials Handling, Inc, a world-class manufacturer of industrial lift trucks, has an outstanding opportunity for an exceptional and talented Digital Office-IT Training & Adoption Manager based at our America’s Headquarters located in Greenville, NC.

What you will do:

Training Strategy & Adoption Leadership

  • Define and implement a unified training and adoption strategy across enterprise systems and digital platforms, ensuring programs align with business workflows, implementation timelines, and user readiness milestones.

  • Partner with product, technology, customer experience, and change management teams to ensure training supports successful platform adoption and effective system use while leading stakeholder engagement to build adoption accountability across internal teams and external user groups.

Role-Based Training Design & Execution

  • Define and maintain learner profiles for key user groups (Sales, Customer Support, Service, Technical, Engineering, Finance, Supply Chain) and external partner audiences, ensuring training is task-based, scenario-driven, and aligned to real business workflows rather than focused only on system features.

  • Validate training content across enterprise systems and related digital platforms, then deliver and scale learning through multiple channels, including instructor-led sessions, digital learning, job aids, and embedded support resources.

Content Development & Learning Experience

  • Develop standardized, scalable training materials across systems, platforms, and business processes, ensuring content clearly identifies the target audience, intended business outcome, key decisions, and common user errors.

  • Incorporate real-world scenarios from pilot programs, post-launch support, early adoption phases, and user feedback, while continuously updating content to reflect system changes, enhancements, and process updates.

Launch Readiness & Adoption Support

  • Align training delivery with implementation schedules, transition plans, and readiness checkpoints, providing targeted support resources such as quick guides, job aids, office hours, and refresher materials to support user readiness.

  • Partner with key users, customer experience teams, and change management partners to reinforce learning during post-launch support and early adoption, while tracking adoption progress and escalating readiness risks when training gaps may affect launch success.

Feedback Loop & Continuous Improvement

  • Establish a closed-loop feedback process using training surveys, post-launch insights, support trends, and key user feedback to identify training gaps, confusion points, and recurring issues, then prioritize updates to training content, delivery methods, and reinforcement resources based on measured outcomes.

Requirements

  • A clear and engaging communicator who can translate complex systems, workflows, and process changes into practical, easy-to-understand training for varied audiences.

  • A collaborative partner who works effectively with cross-functional teams, stakeholders, and business partners to drive alignment and support successful adoption.

  • An organized and proactive problem solver who can manage multiple priorities, anticipate training needs, and adjust quickly as project timelines, tools, or user needs evolve.

  • A continuous improvement-minded professional who uses feedback, data, and user insights to strengthen training content, improve delivery, and enhance the overall learning experience.

What you will need:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in relevant discipline.

  • Experience: 7+ years of industry and/or training experience.

Skills, Experience & Abilities

  • Experience working with enterprise business systems, digital platforms, learning technologies, customer relationship management tools, product lifecycle systems, or related software platforms.

  • Strong understanding of role-based curriculum design, adult learning principles, change adoption, stakeholder engagement, content development, facilitation, and training effectiveness measurement.

  • Ability to translate business processes, system workflows, and technical information into practical, user-friendly learning experiences and support materials.

  • Skilled in modern training methods and tools, including instructor-led training, virtual learning, job aids, quick-reference guides, coaching, and reinforcement resources.

  • Strong facilitation, presentation, writing, and coaching skills, with the ability to communicate complex information clearly to varied audiences.

  • Collaborative and process-oriented, with strong interpersonal skills and the ability to influence, motivate, and build alignment across cross-functional and global teams.

  • Able to engage effectively with both senior leaders and end users, balancing strategic training needs with day-to-day execution and support.

  • Commercially aware, with sound business acumen and an understanding of how training, adoption, and user readiness support broader business outcomes.

  • Experience supporting external partner, customer, dealer, distributor, or field-based audiences preferred.

  • Proficient with standard business technology and productivity tools, with the ability to quickly learn and support new systems.
