Job description

The Digital group at Leidos has a career opening for a Journeyman System Administrator on a DISA contract. This role is primarily on the customer site at Ft Meade, MD. Administrator will provide support for assigned systems supporting Joint Worldwide Intelligence Communications System (JWICS).

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree and 8+ years of overall related experience with a Windows/Linux server environment. Additional experience, education and training may be considered in lieu of degree.\n
  • Windows, Linux, and Solaris Server experience with an expertise in at least one.\n
  • Extensive experience working with virtual environments using VMware and VDI practices.\n
  • Currently possess an active Top Secret security clearance with the ability to obtain a Top Secret/SCI is required for this position.\n
  • Currently possess DoD 8570 certification at least IAT level II, e.g. Security+ CE.\n, * Integration of cyber security tools and systems with network performance, trouble ticketing, and security subsystems highly desired.\n
  • Candidates with a thorough knowledge of networking principles to included TCP/IP a plus.\n
  • Experience with a ticketing system such as ServiceNow\n
  • ITIL v3 Foundation certified\n

  • Provide mid-level skillset for Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environment.\n
  • Provide support for ticket escalation on major outages.\n
  • Be able to work in a rapid paced environment at times.\n
  • Provide strategic leadership and input with development partners to ensure customers understand emerging needs and technological advancements.\n
  • Lead the onboarding and standup of new enclaves and environments as needed.\n
  • Interacts with Tier III support and evaluates vendor products.\n
  • Develops and monitors policies and standards for allocation related to the use of computing resources.\n
  • Creates, maintains, and implements detailed documentation and maintains standard operating procedures.\n
  • Application of security settings and other commercial best\n
  • Provides coaching and reviewing the work of lower-level technical staff.\n
