Job description

We are seeking a Systems Analyst to support a mission-critical command, control, and communications program that provides an operational platform for planning, monitoring battle progress, and controlling networked sensors and weapon systems at strategic, regional, and tactical levels. The program delivers layered defense capability across all ranges and flight phases and serves as a force multiplier by connecting and synchronizing autonomous sensor and weapon systems worldwide and locally; it is also a core element of ground and flight tests that verify current and future system capabilities. The analyst will perform analysis, root-cause troubleshooting, scenario support, and behavior assessments of software in development, ground test, and operational environments; execute automated tools and apply manual techniques to evaluate software capabilities in an integrated setting; and work with cross-functional teams and subject matter experts to define analysis approaches, set up scenarios, support anomaly resolution, and deliver actionable insights to customers and stakeholders. This is an onsite role with travel up to 10%.

Requirements

  • 3+ years of related experience (post-secondary degree or training in a related discipline preferred)
  • Proven experience producing analysis reports for complex systems and algorithms (performance, behavior, functionality)
  • Ability to use MATLAB or a comparable language (Python, etc.) for prototyping, data visualization, scripting, data manipulation, and parsing
  • Ability to use spreadsheets, databases, and/or Linux command-line tools for hands-on data analysis and verification
  • Experience with statistical methods, time series analysis, and data visualization to uncover trends, patterns, and anomalies
  • Excellent analytical abilities and the ability to present complex technical concepts clearly to engineers, stakeholders, and customers
  • Understanding of systems and software engineering processes, principles, and lifecycles
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to communicate complex technical concepts effectively
  • Self-motivated and collaborative; thrives in a fast-paced environment and can switch between high-priority tasks
  • Ability to work onsite with travel up to 10% - Background in missile defense battle management, IR/RF sensor tracking, intercept engagements, space domain awareness, or command and control systems
  • Strong math/physics foundation (probability, statistics, linear algebra, spatial and timing reference frames)
  • Experience working in Agile Scrum environments using JIRA and Confluence
  • Experience with automated analysis and assessment of software applications/systems
  • Ability to create analysis tools and parsers using MATLAB, Bash, Java, Python, or similar
  • Experience with object-oriented coding, SQL queries, regular expressions, reading Java code, and Git/GitLab CI/CD pipelines
  • Ability to read and understand Java, C, or C++ code
