This position is listed on behalf of a partner company, who manages all applications and next steps. Our partner is looking for a Databricks Solution Architect-Databricks Champion based in Spain. This is a remote opportunity to shape enterprise-scale data, cloud, and AI transformation initiatives for leading organizations. You will design and implement modern lakehouse architectures while solving complex data engineering and analytics challenges. The role combines deep hands-on expertise with strategic architecture and direct client engagement. You’ll work across Databricks, Azure, and GCP to build scalable, governed, and production-ready data platforms. The position offers exposure to sophisticated enterprise environments and high-impact transformation programs. You’ll collaborate with technical and business stakeholders to translate requirements into practical, future-ready solutions. This is an ideal role for a Databricks specialist who enjoys architecture, delivery, and helping clients unlock the value of modern data platforms. Accountabilities

  • Design and implement enterprise-grade data and lakehouse architectures using Databricks across complex transformation initiatives.
  • Develop scalable data solutions leveraging Databricks, Azure, GCP, Apache Spark, PySpark, and SQL.
  • Provide hands-on technical leadership throughout architecture, implementation, deployment, and optimization phases.
  • Establish effective data governance and security practices using capabilities such as Unity Catalog.
  • Partner directly with enterprise clients to understand business and technical requirements and translate them into robust architectural solutions.
  • Advise stakeholders on cloud, data, analytics, and AI transformation strategies while ensuring solutions are scalable, reliable, and maintainable.
  • Support infrastructure automation and deployment practices through Terraform and CI/CD pipelines.
  • Apply strong knowledge of Databricks best practices and delivery methodologies to accelerate successful client outcomes.
  • Contribute to solution design, technical documentation, implementation planning, and architectural decision-making across projects.

Requirements

  • 3-8 years of relevant professional experience in data engineering, cloud architecture, analytics consulting, or a closely related technology discipline.
  • Strong hands-on expertise with Databricks, Azure, and GCP, with demonstrated ability to design and implement enterprise data platforms.
  • Databricks Champion status or equivalent demonstrated Databricks expertise is mandatory.
  • Experience with enterprise data architecture, lakehouse architecture, and large-scale implementation projects.
  • Strong knowledge of Apache Spark, PySpark, SQL, Unity Catalog, data governance, and modern data platform practices.
  • Strong client-facing and communication skills, with the ability to explain complex technical concepts to both technical and business stakeholders.
  • Exposure to Terraform, infrastructure-as-code, CI/CD, and automated deployment practices.
  • Experience with the Databricks Professional Services Delivery Provider Program (DPP) is preferred.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving capabilities, with the ability to work independently and manage complex technical challenges.
  • A collaborative, consultative mindset and the ability to operate effectively in fast-paced enterprise environments.
  • Candidates with a notice period of 30 days or less are preferred, with immediate availability considered an advantage.

Benefits & conditions

  • Fully remote position: Work remotely while contributing to enterprise data, cloud, and AI transformation projects.
  • High-impact consulting environment: Gain exposure to complex technology initiatives and enterprise-scale client challenges.
  • Modern technology stack: Work extensively with Databricks, Azure, GCP, Spark/PySpark, SQL, Unity Catalog, Terraform, and CI/CD technologies.
  • Architecture ownership: Take a leading role in designing scalable lakehouse and data platform solutions.
  • Client-facing exposure: Partner directly with enterprise stakeholders and influence strategic technology decisions.
  • Professional growth: Expand your expertise across modern data, cloud, analytics, and AI transformation.
