Job description
Working within agile, multidisciplinary teams, you will be responsible for designing, developing, testing, and deploying modern cloud-native applications whilst contributing to the continuous improvement of engineering practices., * Develop and maintain applications using Java and Node.js.
- Build scalable, secure, and resilient microservices.
- Collaborate with architects, business analysts, testers, and DevOps engineers.
- Participate in Agile ceremonies including sprint planning, stand-ups, reviews, and retrospectives.
- Produce clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
- Contribute to CI/CD pipelines and automated deployment processes.
- Troubleshoot, debug, and resolve production issues.
- Ensure solutions meet security, accessibility, and performance standards.
Requirements
- Strong commercial experience with Java development.
- Strong commercial experience with Node.js development.
- Experience building and consuming RESTful APIs.
- Strong understanding of microservices architecture.
- Experience working within Agile delivery environments.
- Knowledge of Git version control and modern development practices.
- Experience with automated testing frameworks.
- Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines.
Desirable Skills
- Experience working on public sector or government projects.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS or Azure.
- Familiarity with containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of DevOps and Infrastructure as Code principles.
