Machine Learning Engineer

You will work alongside Software Engineers, Machine Learning specialists, and the wider tech team to deploy, integrate and optimise innovative machine learning models within highly advanced, real-world products., * Deploy and integrate new machine learning models into advanced commercial software products

• Work with Large Language Models and modern AI orchestration frameworks, including LangChain and LangGraph
• Collaborate with Software Engineers, Machine Learning specialists and Security Researchers
• Take projects from rapid prototyping and experimentation through to production implementation
• Optimise machine learning models for speed, scale, runtime and memory usage
• Help improve the performance and scalability of existing AI systems
• Develop innovative new features using machine learning and AI technologies
• Explore new technologies and approaches to solve complex technical challenges
• Build expertise across a broad range of technology stacks, with opportunities to specialise in particular areas

Location: Cambridge, Cambridgeshire, hybrid working with a minimum of 2 days per week in the office Salary: £55,000 to £80,000 per annum + excellent benefits Requirements for Machine Learning Engineer:

• Strong commercial experience in a Machine Learning Engineering, AI Engineering, Software Engineering or closely related role
• Strong experience working with Python and the ability to write production-quality code
• Commercial or substantial project experience working with Large Language Models
• Experience with LangChain and/or LangGraph
• Familiarity with machine learning frameworks, model deployment, and inference technologies
• Experience using Python data and matrix manipulation libraries such as NumPy and pandas
• This company highly values a top academic history, so is looking for a 1st or 2:1 in Computer Science, Mathematics, Physics, Engineering, Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence or another closely related subject with a minimum AAB at A Level, or international equivalent
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Comfortable working autonomously and making technical decisions, while also collaborating closely with a highly technical team

Experience in any of the following would be beneficial:

• Python memory management and performance optimisation
• GPU optimisation and acceleration
