microservices, We are a growing engineering team delivering enterprise-scale solutions for a range of high-profile clients. This is a Senior Java Engineer role based in Newcastle upon Tyne with hybrid working, requiring 3 days onsite per week. We offer a salary of up to £60,000, a sign-on bonus, performance bonus, private medical insurance, and ongoing AI and technical upskilling.

Requirements

5+ years of commercial experience developing Java applications
Strong backend Java development experience with Spring and Spring Boot
Proven experience delivering complex software projects
Experience with Git, CI/CD pipelines, and modern software engineering practices
Exposure to Agile and/or Waterfall delivery environments
Strong communication skills with the ability to work closely with technical teams and stakeholders
Experience mentoring or supporting other engineers is highly desirable
Cloud experience with AWS, Azure, or GCP
Eligibility to obtain SC Clearance, including a minimum of 5 years continuous UK residency with no absences of more than 30 consecutive days
