Job description
We are seeking a Senior Software Engineer / Cloud Engineer with expertise in cloud-native development, DevOps practices, and software engineering. In this role, you will lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance infrastructure and systems. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to solve problems related to data management, distributed systems, and performance at scale. As a technical leader, you will deliver efficient and well-documented code, propose robust architectural approaches, and mentor peers., * Lead the design and implementation of scalable, high-performance infrastructure and systems across diverse domains.
- Collaborate with cross-functional engineering, data, and product teams to solve complex problems.
- Deliver efficient, well-documented code with strong attention to time and space complexity.
- Develop and maintain CI/CD pipelines using tools such as GitLab or GitHub.
- Propose scalable, low-latency, and reliable architectural approaches.
- Conduct code reviews and provide technical mentorship to peers.
- Stay current with modern cloud and software engineering practices.
Requirements
Experience: 5+ years of software development experience across diverse technical domains, with demonstrated ability in data management and distributed systems.
Technical Skills:
- Advanced proficiency in Python for backend or infrastructure development.
- Strong DevOps experience, including CI/CD, containerization (Docker), testing, and automation.
- Hands-on experience designing and implementing solutions with AWS services, especially IAM, S3, Kinesis, Lambda, and SNS.
- Familiarity with infrastructure-as-code tools such as Terraform, CloudFormation, or AWS CDK.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience with AWS networking.
- Experience with AWS CDK, CDKTF, or Pulumi.
- Deep object-oriented programming experience.
- Familiarity with Datadog, Snowflake, Airflow, or DBT.
- Proficiency in a statically typed language such as TypeScript or Java.
- Understanding of data architecture trade-offs, including SQL vs NoSQL, data partitioning, and data warehouses.
- Experience with low-level software design decisions, such as data structures and code organization.
- Knowledge of modern trends and emerging technologies in cloud engineering and data systems.
- Passion for creating reusable components and identifying opportunities for platform-level improvements.
