Job description
Our client seeks a senior Testing Lead to elevate the Workday HCM testing function. The leader will own test strategy and governance while performing hands-on test execution. The role will coordinate UAT, create testing artifacts, validate data migrations, support Workday Extend components, and deliver timely, concise updates to executive stakeholders. The Testing Lead will partner with business and technical teams, track risks and issues, and drive resolutions while maintaining strong coverage and schedule adherence., * Own and lead the testing function across the Workday HCM project.
- Drive UAT coordination and execution with clear timelines and coverage.
- Partner closely with business stakeholders and UAT testers.
- Elevate testing reporting and communication to executive sponsors.
- Track progress, risks, and missed deliverables, and course-correct proactively.
- Establish structure, accountability, and visibility across the testing lifecycle.
- Ensure alignment between functional and technical teams.
- Oversee data validation, migration, and reorganization testing.
- Support Workday Extend testing for custom workflows, dashboards, and integrations.
- Identify gaps and drive continuous improvement in process, documentation, and execution.
Requirements
Due to client requirements, applicants must be willing and able to work on a w2 basis. For our w2 consultants, we offer a great benefits package that includes Medical, Dental, and Vision benefits, 401k with company matching, and life insurance., * Senior-level Testing Lead experience with both leadership and hands-on execution.
- Proven end-to-end UAT leadership and coordination.
- Workday experience, preferably within HCM.
- Experience with data-heavy testing, including validation, migration, and integration testing.
- Effective communication with executive stakeholders and comfort presenting to C-level sponsors.
- Manual QA and UAT coordination with cross-functional collaboration.
- Demonstrated ownership of deliverables and prevention of misses.
- Nice to have: Workday Extend experience, familiarity with integrations such as SAP to Workday, Smartsheets or similar tools, and prior consulting experience.

Skills, experience, and other compensable factors will be considered when determining pay rate. The pay range provided in this posting reflects a W2 hourly rate; other employment options may be available that may result in pay outside of the provided range.
