Job description
Windows Server Administrator to support a limited Qualys Patch Management PoC. The role focuses on Windows server readiness, patching and remediation testing, server health validation, troubleshooting, and documentation. This role does not involve production rollout or ongoing Qualys administration.
Responsibilities
· Administer and prepare Windows Servers for Qualys Patch Management PoC testing.
· Execute and validate OS/third-party patching, vulnerability remediation, and registry fixes.
· Perform pre/post-patch health checks, service, event log, dependency, and restart validation.
· Troubleshoot Windows services, patch failures, registry, and connectivity issues.
· Support required network/firewall/allow-list changes through approved processes.
· Maintain test evidence, risks, issues, rollback details, and PoC documentation.
· Coordinate with application, Linux, desktop, network, and client teams.
Requirements
· Windows Server Administration - 5+ years
· Windows Server Patching - WSUS / SCCM / MECM
· Windows Troubleshooting - Services, Event Logs, Registry
· PowerShell
· Vulnerability Remediation & Security Configuration
· Patch Validation & Server Health Checks
· Enterprise Windows Server Environment
