Full-Stack Apigee Architect

SID Global Solutions (SIDGS) is seeking an experienced Full-Stack Apigee Architect to lead the design, architecture, implementation, and governance of enterprise-grade API management and integration solutions.

The ideal candidate will have deep hands-on expertise in Google Apigee, API Management, Google Cloud Platform, microservices, Kubernetes, API security, integration architecture, and DevOps. This role requires an architect who can work across the complete API lifecycle-from API strategy and design through implementation, deployment, security, performance optimization, and production support., API & Apigee Architecture

• Design scalable, secure, highly available enterprise API management architectures using Google Apigee.
• Define API strategy, API standards, governance, lifecycle management, versioning, and reusable architecture patterns.
• Architect and review Apigee API proxies, shared flows, policies, API products, developer applications, and developer portals.
• Design API mediation, routing, transformation, traffic management, caching, quota, spike arrest, and fault-handling strategies.
• Evaluate existing API ecosystems and recommend modernization and optimization approaches.
• Provide technical leadership for Apigee implementation and migration initiatives.

Apigee X & Apigee Hybrid

• Provide hands-on architecture and implementation expertise with Apigee X and/or Apigee Hybrid.
• Design Apigee Hybrid runtime architecture and integration with Kubernetes/GKE environments.
• Work with runtime planes, management planes, networking, ingress, certificates, security, and platform configuration.
• Participate in Apigee upgrades, migrations, capacity planning, and production troubleshooting.
• Establish best practices for Apigee environment, organization, deployment, and configuration management.

• 10+ years of experience in software, integration, API, or solution architecture.
• Strong hands-on experience with Google Apigee.
• Strong knowledge of Apigee X and/or Apigee Hybrid.
• Extensive experience in API Management and API Architecture.
• Strong understanding of REST APIs, API lifecycle, API governance, and API security.
• Strong knowledge of OAuth 2.0, JWT, mTLS, API Keys, and authentication/authorization.
• Strong Google Cloud Platform experience.
• Strong understanding of Kubernetes and GKE.
• Experience with microservices architecture.
• Strong understanding of cloud networking and enterprise integration.
• Experience with CI/CD and DevOps practices.
• Ability to troubleshoot complex enterprise API and integration issues.
• Strong architecture documentation and communication skills.

Education

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering, or a related discipline.
• Advanced degree or relevant professional certifications are a plus.
