Requirements

We are seeking a highly skilled and visionary Apigee Developer Lead to own, architect, and scale our Enterprise API Management platform. In this role, you won’t just be writing proxies; you will serve as the strategic bridge between engineering squads, security compliance, and product teams. You will establish design standards, champion API-first strategies, and mentor a team of developers while remaining hands-on in designing high-performance, secure, and robust API ecosystems using Google Cloud Apigee. Technical Requirements API Management Expertise, 4+ years of dedicated, hands-on experience designing and managing APIs on Google Cloud Apigee (Edge, Apigee X, or Apigee Hybrid). 7+ years of overall software development experience, preferably utilizing Java, Node.js, Python, or Go. Strong proficiency in JavaScript/Java for custom Apigee callouts. Deep understanding of REST, JSON, SOAP, XML, GraphQL, and gRPC. Solid experience with CI/CD tools, containerization (Docker, Kubernetes), and Infrastructure as Code (Terraform) in cloud environments (GCP preferred, AWS/Azure acceptable). Familiarity with SQL and NoSQL databases for caching configurations and state management. Core Responsibilities Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure API proxies and products within the Apigee Edge/X/Hybrid platform. Define enterprise-wide API architecture patterns, reusable shared flows, and extension policies.
