Job description

  • Design and develop novel factory and online calibration algorithms for sensors and displays. Design and prototype automation for calibration in collaboration with mechanical engineers and prototyping technicians
  • Collaborate with cross-functional engineering and research teams from Reality Labs in computer vision and graphics
  • Participate in advanced research in computer vision that can be applied to Wearables and VR product development
  • Work with other engineers to bring new products to market
  • Contribute to engineering best practices, code quality standards, and technical culture within your team

These include Quest products, Meta Glasses and Family of Apps (Facebook, Instagram, Messenger, WhatsApp). We develop core capabilities across a range of product domains including avatars, AR/VR remote presence and calling, commerce, content sharing, spatial computing, sensor calibration, and more.In this role, you will be, * Currently has, or is in the process of obtaining a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, relevant technical field, or equivalent practical experience. Degree must be completed prior to joining Meta

  • 2+ years of experience developing and designing Computer Vision and Perception algorithms for robotics technologies and systems
  • Experience in C++ development
  • Prototyping and engineering experience in at least one relevant specialization area in Computer Vision or Perception for Robotics: Camera Calibration, Online Calibration, State Estimation, Sensor Fusion, 3D Reconstruction, Camera Pose Estimation, Structure-From-Motion, * Masters or PhD degree in Computer Science, Computer Vision, Robotics, or a related technical field
  • Publication track record at conferences such as SIGGRAPH, CVPR, NeurIPS, ECCV, ICCV, ISMAR, ICML, RSS, ICRA, IROS, etc
  • Industry experience working on projects such as: Camera Calibration, Online Calibration, State Estimation, Sensor Fusion, 3D Reconstruction, Camera Pose Estimation, Structure-From-Motion
