Job description
This role is responsible for designing, developing, testing, and maintaining software applications and platforms that meet customer needs. The engineer will contribute across the full software development lifecycle, including architecture design, development, testing, and deployment., * Engage with customers to understand use cases, pain points, and requirements; advocate for user-centric solutions.
- Design, develop, and deliver scalable software solutions using modern tools, frameworks, and agile methodologies.
- Assess application requirements and determine appropriate technology stacks, integration approaches, and deployment strategies.
- Design high-level software architecture, including system components, integrations, and interfaces.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product owners, designers, architects, and engineering teams.
- Define and implement testing strategies, standards, and processes aligned with organizational and industry best practices.
- Continuously optimize application performance and improve development efficiency through new tools and technologies.
- Apply modern development practices including test-driven development (TDD), continuous integration (CI), and continuous delivery (CD).
- Implement security best practices, including encryption and data protection techniques.
- Develop user-friendly, responsive front-end interfaces.
- Build and maintain back-end services such as APIs and microservices.
- Evaluate and adopt emerging technologies to enhance platform capabilities and drive innovation.

- Microsoft Azure (4-6 years)
- PostgreSQL (2-3 years)
- Cloud Computing (3+ years)
- Google Cloud Platform (1-2 years)
- Java (5-6 years)
- MongoDB (1-3 years)
- Identity & Access Management (IAM) (1-3 years)
Preferred Skills
- Business Continuity / Disaster Recovery (1-2 years)
- Cloud Architecture (2-4 years)
- Hybrid Cloud (2-3 years)
- Complex Deployment Planning (1-3 years)
- Jenkins (3-4 years)
- Cloud Infrastructure (4-5 years)
Required Experience
- 6+ years of IT experience, including 4+ years in software development
- Proficiency in at least two programming languages, or advanced proficiency in one
Preferred Experience
- Experience designing, deploying, and supporting cloud-based solutions
- Strong understanding of API integration and data exchange (REST, JSON, Swagger, Postman)
- Knowledge of cloud security practices and implementation
- Experience supporting mission-critical, always-on applications
- Hands-on experience with GCP services such as Cloud Run, GKE, Pub/Sub, Cloud Functions, Cloud Scheduler, Apigee, GCP Logging, and Terraform
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Cloud Build, Tekton)
- Familiarity with canary deployments and modern API management practices
Education
- Required: Bachelor’s Degree
- Preferred: Associate Degree or relevant certification(s)
