Job description
As a Journeyman Systems Engineer/ LCAP (SaaS) Governance Assistant, you will serve as a core technical resource for tracking, managing, and securing low-code application platforms while maintaining operational standards. Key responsibilities include:
- Define the Framework: Assist in defining the enterprise SaaS governance framework, including policies, standards, and lifecycle management processes (intake, approval, implementation, renewal, and retirement).
- Maintain the Catalog: Establish and maintain a centralized inventory (SaaS Catalog) of all approved applications, outlining technical owners, business intent, data classification, and risk profiles.
- Intake & Evaluation: Lead the formal evaluation process for new SaaS requests, ensuring they go through proper security, compliance, legal, and operational support reviews before purchase.
- Work with internal and external ISSOs and ISSEs to track, monitor and evaluate Cyber related requests and ATO artifacts.
- Assist with defining the process for access control and audits: Define and enforce role-based access control (RBAC), least-privilege principles, and robust user provisioning/deprovisioning automation.
- Assist with tracking costs at system level.
- Assist with monitoring and reporting user statistics and capacity.
Requirements
High School with 6 - 9 years (or commensurate experience), * DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE, CySA+, CCNA Security).
- At least 8 years in IT related job roles.
- At least 1 years working with Jira.
- MUST BE able to work autonomously and take initiative.
- Cross-Functional Collaboration: Exceptional ability to work with disparate groups-ranging from technical teams to senior leaders.
- Strong analytical and critical thinking abilities.
Clearance Required: Public Trust
Preferred Skills & Experience
- LCAP/SaaS experience within the Federal Government.
- Familiarity with USCG Software Yard pipelines, Capability Development Division benchmarks, or shared data systems.
