Job description

The Executive Director, Enterprise Data Management will lead and scale enterprise-wide data capabilities, initially focusing on R&D and Commercial functions. Reporting to the Vice President, Data, Analytics & Insights, this leader will define and execute the company’s enterprise data strategy, strengthen governance frameworks, and ensure high-quality, trusted data enables AI, analytics, reporting, and business decision-making.

This role oversees Commercial Data Management, builds and leads a new R&D Data Management team, and establishes enterprise data governance. Responsibilities include developing multi-year data roadmaps; implementing governance policies, stewardship models, and standards; optimizing data acquisition and vendor partnerships; and leading master data management across key domains such as product, study, asset, and HCP/HCO data. The Executive Director will ensure reliable, secure, and efficient data operations, partnering closely with IT, Information Security, Legal, and Enterprise AI to support compliant, scalable data platforms.

Requirements

The ideal candidate brings 10+ years of pharma/biotech experience, including senior leadership in enterprise data management, with deep expertise in R&D data and governance. This individual is a collaborative, strategic leader who can build high-performing teams, drive cross-functional alignment, and champion a culture of data excellence and innovation.
