The ASE Observability team is responsible for designing, building, and operating the core observability platforms that enable engineering organizations at Apple to monitor, debug, and optimize infrastructure and systems at scale. Having built Observability platforms at scale previously is a strong plus.

Familiarity with OpenTelemetry and OSS tools in the Observability space.

Proficiency in one of Java, Rust is desirable.

Familiarity with Kubernetes on Linux is a plus.

BS or MS in Computer Science or a related field.

Minimum Qualifications

Experience and insight into designing, implementing and supporting highly scalable infrastructure services.

5 to 15 years of industry experience in building and maintaining backend distributed systems.

Deep understanding of core computer science concepts including data structures, algorithms, and concurrent programming.

Strong attention to detail and excellent analytical capabilities.

Passion for developing and testing clear, robust code.

Ability to learn and apply new technologies and frameworks.

Great communication skills.

At Apple, base pay is one part of our total compensation package and is determined within a range. This provides the opportunity to progress as you grow and develop within a role. The base pay range for this role is between $175,000 and $263,300, and your base pay will depend on your skills, qualifications, experience, and location.
