Job description

The Migration Engineer’s role is to participate in the planning, design, and management of email and data migration during large acquisitions. This position will provide support for the migration of email to Exchange Online and assist with data migrations from external sources to Box. To support this requirement, the role requires strong knowledge and expertise in Exchange online, Internet Email systems in general, and DNS.

Responsibilities:

  • Assist with the migration of mailboxes from multiple external sources to one or more managed Exchange Online tenants.

  • Assisting in the planning and execution of the migration process, ensuring minimal disruption to users and business operations.

  • Collaborating with senior engineers, internal teams, and external partners to assess current mailbox configurations and requirements for migration.

  • Providing escalation support to end-users during the migration process, addressing any issues or concerns promptly.

  • Documenting migration procedures, configurations, and troubleshooting steps for future reference.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science or information systems or equivalent IT work experience (3+ years)
