Photoshop Software Development Engineer - C++/GPU imaging

• Modernize the architecture behind Photoshop’s performance, enabling a better user experience and stronger capabilities
• Build out next-generation GPU-accelerated features and modernize existing features
• Collaborate with internal and external partners at the forefront of technology to bring the full power of modern hardware to Photoshop
• Shape architectural and product design decisions across teams to deliver a fast, high-quality product that customers love!

What you’ll Do

• Build and improve image compositing and display systems in C++ to expand Photoshop performance and capabilities
• Profile and optimize C++ code to ensure optimal performance
• Plan and deliver architectural improvements that help our users
• Collaborate with technology and platform teams
• Write and review engineering documents and design specs
• Ensure quality in all phases of development, which includes expanding automated quality and performance testing and driving test plans
• Adopt, advocate for, and expand the application of AI tooling in daily development practices

What you need to succeed

• A bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or equivalent experience
• 5+ years developing advanced C++ applications
• An understanding of image processing and rendering systems
• Experience with desktop profiling tools
• Ability to understand and articulate the impact of your work on users
• Hands-on knowledge of Adobe products is desired
• Game engine experience is a plus

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several U.S. geographic markets, and we pay differently based on those defined markets. The U.S. pay range for this position is $139,000 – $257,550 annually. Pay within this range varies by work location and may also depend on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. In California, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550 In New York, the pay range for this position is $177,900 - $257,550 In Washington, the pay range for this position is $161,700 - $234,150

At Adobe, for sales roles starting salaries are expressed as total target compensation (TTC = base + commission), and short-term incentives are in the form of sales commission plans. Non-sales roles starting salaries are expressed as base salary and short-term incentives are in the form of the Annual Incentive Plan (AIP).

In addition, certain roles may be eligible for long-term incentives in the form of a new hire equity award.
