Java Developer

Seeking a Java Developer to support application development and production support activities within a manufacturing environment. This role will focus heavily on application support, troubleshooting, maintenance, and enhancements across existing and legacy applications., * Provide production support for business-critical applications.

• Troubleshoot and resolve application issues across legacy and existing systems.
• Analyze application code, business logic, and database interactions to identify root causes.
• Develop application fixes, enhancements, and improvements resulting from support activities.
• Work closely with business users to understand reported issues and determine appropriate solutions.
• Investigate whether issues originate from application logic, database behavior, infrastructure, or other systems.
• Support and maintain legacy applications with limited documentation.
• Independently research and understand unfamiliar code and application functionality.
• Collaborate with technical teams and escalate issues when appropriate.
• Participate in application vulnerability remediation and secure coding activities.
• Support applications throughout their production lifecycle.
• Participate in a 24/7/365 on-call rotation approximately once every four weeks, Monday-to-Monday, including nights and weekends.

The ideal candidate will be an independent problem solver who can investigate issues, understand unfamiliar code, troubleshoot application/database problems, and work effectively with limited documentation., * 3+ years of hands-on Java development experience

• Strong experience with Java 8, preferably in a production environment
• Full-stack Java development experience
• Hands-on experience with Spring MVC
• Strong SQL skills
• Hands-on Oracle database experience
• Production/application support experience
• Experience troubleshooting legacy applications
• Ability to independently analyze code and identify root causes
• Experience working with application/database interactions

Work Environment

The position supports applications used within a manufacturing/factory environment and involves working with a combination of modernized and legacy systems.

The team operates in a less formal, waterfall-oriented environment rather than a traditional Agile/Scrum model. Candidates should be comfortable working with evolving requirements and limited documentation.
