Job description

The Senior Software Engineering Manager - Pricing Technology will require a skilled background in retail pricing and promotion technology. They will collaborate closely with several stakeholder groups to implement a modern pricing software solution to enable an omnichannel pricing experience across our store and ecommerce selling channels. This manager will be responsible for building a highly reliable software solution to meet the current and future pricing strategies of the business. This position will play a key role in enabling multiple business and technology strategies.

As a Senior Software Engineering Manager, you will be given a chance to contribute to the products we create, help grow the next generation of engineering talent, and help shape the technology strategy of the enterprise. In addition, you will be given the chance to work with our most strategic vendors to ensure that third party tools and applications are readily available to all product teams that are interested in using them. The Engineering Manager will also play a part in driving change management and process improvement.

Role Responsibilities:

Digital Talent Development

Develop digital training and development programs to meet identified needs; run leadership development programs to enable personal transformations on digital.

Digital Vision and Strategy

Conceptualize elements of digital strategy/digital-enabled business change projects. Develop approaches to programmatically deliver successful digital innovation engagements.

Quality

Develop new methods, tools and programs for quality assurance. Lead developmental initiatives or programs within an area of expertise.

Leadership and Direction

Communicate the actions needed to implement the function’s strategy and business plan within the team; explain the relationship to the broader organization’s mission, vision and values; motivate people to commit to these

and to doing extraordinary things to achieve local business goals.

Organizational Capability Building

Use the organization’s formal development framework to identify the team’s individual development needs. Plan and implement actions, including continuing professional development specified by professional or regulatory institutions, to build their professional capabilities. Requirements

  • Experience in retail technology. Experience with pricing technology preferred.
  • Wide and deep experience providing direction and guidance in software development.
  • 14 years of experience in Technology
  • Experience with custom Pricing software systems preferred.
  • Experience with modern technology;
  • Kotlin, Java Spring Boot, Angular
  • Event based architecture; Kafka, RabbitMQ
  • Database technologies; Document & RDBMS
  • Modern practices; microservices, test driven development, CI/CD, application scalability
  • Cloud native architecture; Microsoft Azure, Kubernetes, Tanzu Application Platform

  • Experience building custom software solutions
  • Experience leading software engineering teams as a manager
  • Experience of planning and managing resources to deliver predetermined objectives
  • Experience leading teams of 10+ software Engineers
  • Experience leading teams of contractors in an onshore/offshore engagement
  • Experience managing, mentoring, and growing the careers of software engineers.
  • Master’s Degree or equivalent level preferred

Benefits & conditions

Targeted Pay Range: $114,300 - $190,500. This is part of a competitive total rewards package that could include other components such as: incentive, equity and benefits. Individual pay is determined by a number of factors including experience, location, internal pay equity, and other relevant business considerations.
