Senior Elastic Platform Engineer

• Design, deploy, and manage Elastic clusters within Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes (ECK) environments
• Build and maintain custom data ingestion pipelines beyond out-of-the-box configurations
• Implement and manage Index Lifecycle Management (ILM) policies and large-scale logging solutions
• Support and optimize Kubernetes-based infrastructure for Elastic workloads
• Troubleshoot and enhance complex Elastic deployments, including Splunk-to-Elastic migration efforts

• 6+ years of experience with Elastic engineering, platform engineering, or similar roles
• Strong hands-on experience with Elastic Stack, Kubernetes, and ECK (Elastic Cloud on Kubernetes)
• Proven ability to design custom ingestion pipelines and solve complex technical challenges
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
• Active Secret clearance

• Salary Range: $250,000-$3000,000 depending on experience

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Senior Elastic Platform Engineer to support a company focused on a large-scale government modernization effort migrating from Splunk to Elastic within a containerized, Kubernetes-based environment. This position i s on-site at Scott Air Force Base, Illinois . The Senior Elastic Platform Engineer will lead the design, deployment, and management of scalable Elastic platforms leveraging Kubernetes and ECK. This is supporting a 6 month project, but the team will move you along to other initiatives once it ends. Relocation assistance is provided.
