Job description

Design, develop, and maintain web applications using C#, .NET, ASP.NET, HTML5, TypeScript, and SQL.
Write clean, maintainable, and scalable code with a strong focus on performance, reliability, and security.
Conduct technical analysis, troubleshoot complex issues, and implement robust solutions.
Develop and maintain automated testing frameworks, including unit and end-to-end testing.
Perform code reviews and contribute to continuous improvements in development standards and processes.
Support the ongoing evolution of platform architecture, ensuring scalability and maintainability.
Monitor application performance and proactively identify issues using logging, analytics, and monitoring tools.
Work closely with Agile delivery teams to estimate work, prioritise tasks, and deliver sprint commitments.
Mentor and support junior developers, promoting knowledge sharing and technical excellence.
Stay informed on emerging technologies and industry best practices to drive innovation.

Requirements

Strong commercial experience with the Microsoft .NET ecosystem, including C# and ASP.NET.
Solid understanding of modern web technologies, including HTML5, CSS, JavaScript, and TypeScript.
Strong experience with Microsoft SQL Server, including T-SQL and stored procedures.
Experience designing and developing scalable web-based applications.
Understanding of software architecture principles, design patterns, and secure coding practices.
Experience with Git-based version control systems and Agile development methodologies.
Strong debugging, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
Excellent communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams.

Desirable Skills:

Experience with cloud technologies such as Google Cloud Platform (GCP), Cloud Run, Docker, and Terraform.
Exposure to data, logging, and monitoring platforms such as BigQuery.
Knowledge of SEO, website performance optimisation, page speed improvements, and responsive design principles.
Understanding of networking concepts and protocols.
