Technical Lead - Data Analytics

We’re seeking an autonomous Analytics Engineer to own our data architecture. Dedicating up to 80% of your time to robust data modeling, you’ll leverage Snowflake, dbt, and Tableau to translate complex business needs into scalable solutions. You must possess expert SQL skills and clearly explain technical concepts to non-technical stakeholders., * Core Data Modeling (70-80%): Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable data models within Snowflake using dbt to support complex business logic and reporting needs.

• Pipeline & Extraction Management: Oversee the extract layer, utilizing Fivetran and custom Python taps to ingest data from various sources.
• Data Visualization: Build and optimize dashboards and reporting layers in Tableau, ensuring end-users have access to clean, reliable data.
• Stakeholder Collaboration: Translate complex business requirements into technical solutions, consistently communicating data concepts clearly to non-technical teams.

• Data Warehousing Expertise: A deep understanding of data warehousing strategies, dimensional modeling, and best practices for structuring data.
• Advanced SQL & dbt: Exceptional SQL skills with proven, hands-on experience using dbt (or comparable tools) for clean, modular, and version-controlled data transformations.
• Cloud Data Platforms: Strong working knowledge of Snowflake or similar modern cloud data warehouses.
• Exceptional Communication: The ability to distill complex technical architecture concepts into plain language for business stakeholders.
• High Ownership & Autonomy: An independent learner who takes immense pride in their work, can troubleshoot complex issues, and knows exactly when to ask for help.

Nice to have skills

• Python Proficiency: Experience writing and maintaining custom Python taps or scripts for data extraction.
• E-commerce Expertise: Previous experience modeling data for e-commerce, including user journeys, order attribution, and inventory metrics.
• Fivetran Experience: Familiarity with configuring and managing Fivetran connectors.
