Job description

Utilus helps customers rethink, redesign, and rebuild their application landscape via three core services: Pathfinding, Software Design & Delivery, and Cloud Operations. Utilus Cloud Operations builds, manages, and monitors high-traffic mission-critical applications in AWS. They work closely with software engineering teams to assist them in achieving their goals. As a Cloud Dev-Ops Engineer, you will be embedded in a development team that maintains and modernises a mission-critical system.

Requirements

  • Solid knowledge and understanding of core networking protocols and computing technologies
  • Ability to make technology decisions and persuade those around you in a constructive manner.
  • Proven experience designing and setting up application platforms in AWS
  • You identify and troubleshoot issues, providing timely resolutions
  • You have excellent cloud engineering skills in AWS
  • You have experience as a CI/CD pipeline guru and tools such as Terraform
  • Problem Solving: you identify and troubleshoot issues, providing timely resolutions
  • Collaboration with Teams: you closely collaborate with Software Architects, Product Managers and Project Managers to guarantee that proposed solutions are implemented accurately and on time. Also, you collaborate with clients in a project context.
  • Fast-paced: you work in a fast-paced environment with constantly changing requirements, * Bachelor’s/Master’s degree in IT (or related) field
  • 5+ years of DevOps engineering in mission-critical environments
  • You have excellent cloud engineering skills in AWS
  • You have solid experience with Kubernetes
  • You have the ability to organize, prioritize, and plan operational tasks with and for team members
  • Your stakeholder management is excellent. You easily work with the client’s stakeholders, supporting them in identifying and aligning on what is required in the project
  • You have a hands-on mentality, and you are comfortable in fast fast-paced environment with constantly changing requirements
  • You are self-motivated and pro-active, with the ability to work independently
  • You are willing to work on a project at a client that offers lottery/gambling services
  • You are willing to be available for standby duty (24/7 shift 1x per month), a 24/7 allowance is included
  • Your communication skills in English are excellent (Dutch is a plus)
  • Experience in the energy domain is a plus
